Maintenance Agreement Questions
We believe homeowners deserve clear answers before making a decision.
Below are the most common questions we hear about our maintenance agreement — answered plainly, without pressure.
Getting Started

Is this a contract?
No. This is an annual maintenance agreement, not a contract. There are no long-term commitments and no pressure to continue if it’s not the right fit for you.

Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel at any time. We believe trust works better than lock-ins.

How much does the maintenance agreement cost?
The maintenance agreement is $99 per year for one system.
Additional systems can be added for $75 per system, per year.

What’s Included

What does the $99 maintenance agreement include?
Your maintenance agreement includes two scheduled visits per year:
-
One summer visit for your AC system
-
One winter visit for your heating system
Across those visits, we perform four total inspections of your AC and heating system, along with seasonal tune-ups and safety checks.

How often will you visit my home?
We visit twice per year — once before the cooling season and once before the heating season — so your system is prepared when it matters most.

Do you keep records of my system?
Yes. We keep notes from each visit, so we understand your system over time. This helps us provide better, more consistent care year after year.

If Something Comes Up

What if you find an issue during a maintenance visit?
If we notice something that needs attention, we’ll explain what we’re seeing in plain language and talk through your options. You’re never obligated to move forward with any repair or replacement.

Do maintenance agreement members receive any discounts?
Yes. Maintenance agreement customers receive:
-
10% off service parts (before tax)
-
5% off equipment replacement
These are benefits of being a long-term customer, not sales incentives.

Will you pressure me to replace my system?
No. Many maintenance visits end with “everything looks good.” Our goal is preventative care, not selling.

My Home & My System

Does this cover all types of systems?
Our maintenance agreement covers most residential AC and heating systems. If you’re unsure about your setup, we’re happy to talk it through.

What if I have more than one system?
Additional systems can be added to the maintenance agreement for $75 per system, per year.

Working With Legacy

Why does Legacy use an agreement instead of a membership or plan?
We believe an agreement better reflects how we work, built on trust, consistency, and long-term care, not sales programs or contracts.

Is this right for everyone?
The maintenance agreement is best for homeowners who want preventative care and a consistent service relationship. If you’re only looking for one-time service, this may not be the right fit, and that’s okay.
